The Crumpeteers are heading off into the South West wilderness for a week, so there will be no crumpets this week.
Hiking in Tassies beautiful wilderness fills our cup, which gives us the energy to make our fluffy crumpets for the rest of the year.

THERE’S SOMETHING IN THE AIR…
The mornings have an autumnal crispness, the cherries are finishing, the apples are getting rounder and riper, and all over the valley, blackberries are becoming black and shiny.
At Crumpet Central in the Huon, this time of the year also brings a welcome aroma. Cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ginger and cloves, all being baked into crumpets and wafting the scent out the door.
Our Easter Spice crumpets are here for a delectably good time, not a long time, so get your hands on some when they hit the shelves at your local specialty grocer. Available from today (at Huonville Salamanca Fresh) and tomorrow (further afield).

These will be available at all your favourite outlets (that is, if you are privileged enough to live in the most beautiful island on earth) this week, until Xmas.
Go hard, enjoy these ephemeral but super moreish delightful butter shovels. Hoard them, freeze them, keep them for leaner times.
